GUILLEM CLUA
GUILLEM CLUA (Barcelona, 1973) is one of our most well-known international contemporary authors.
His most important pieces, La pell en flames, Smiley: una història d’amor and L’oreneta, have been translated into numerous languages and performed worldwide such as Paris, Llondon, New York, Buenos Aires or even in Singapur.
He has also written major epic dramas (Marburg, Gust de cendra, Invasión), political farces (Al damunt dels nostres cants, La terra promesa), musicals (Killer, 73 raons per deixar-te) and adaptations of classics (Ilíada, Mort a Venècia, La Revoltosa).
His most recent works are Justícia (National Prize for Dramatic Literature 2020) and Smiley: després de l’amor.
He also has a long experience as a journalist, teacher and screenwriter. Some of his plays have been adapted for the big screen (La piel en llamas, Invasión, La bandera) and Smiley has become a worldwide phenomenon in the form of a television series on Netflix.
