MARTA BUCHACA (Barcelona, 1979)<\/strong>. She holds a degree in Humanities from the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma of Barcelona. She trained as a playwright at the Centre d\u2019\u00c9tudes Th\u00e9\u00e2trales in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) and at the Obrador de la Sala Beckett (Barcelona).<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Her first play was\u00a0L\u2019olor sota la pell<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(5th Joaquim Bartrina Prize; Sala Beckett, 2007), after which she wrote\u00a0Emerg\u00e8ncia<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(runner-up for the 3rd Fundaci\u00f3 Romea Prize for Playwriting),\u00a0En conserva\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(2007)<\/em>,\u00a0Sorry<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(25th Ciutat d\u2019Alcoi Theatre Prize, second place in the Marqu\u00e9s de Bradom\u00edn Prize 2007 and runner-up for the Max Prizes 2010; Sala Beckett, 2009).\u00a0<\/p>

Girls Shouldn\u2019t Play Soccer<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(Festival Grec and Versus Teatre, 2010 with productions in Croatia, Mexico, Cyprus and Greece). Also, in 2010 she took part in the T6 project of the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, where she premiered\u00a0A mi no em diguis amor<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(Festival Grec and Versus Teatre, 2010).<\/p>

In 2011 and 2012 she premiered\u00a0<\/em>L\u2019any que ve ser\u00e0 millo<\/em><\/strong>r<\/em>, co-written with Carol L\u00f3pez, Merc\u00e8 Sarrias and Victoria Szpunberg (La Villarroel and Teatro Bellas Artes, Madrid, winner of the Max Prize 2013 for Best Author in Catalan),\u00a0Litus<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(SALAFlyhard\/Teatre Lliure was nominated for the Butaca Prizes for Best Small-format Show and First Post-show Prize for Best Play in 2012) and\u00a0Losers<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(La Villarroel, 2014).<\/p>

In 2018 she presented Playoff through La Joven Compa\u00f1\u00eda (Madrid) and in 2019 Rita<\/strong><\/em>, with which she has been awarded the Frederic Roda Theatre Prize.<\/p>

Her last plays are Nom\u00e9s una vegada<\/em><\/strong> (Teatre Nacional de Catalunyam 2020) and the most recent Quant temps em queda<\/em><\/strong> (Teatre Goya, 2022).<\/p>
